Hubble Celebrates 100,000th Orbit around the Earth!

NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope completed its 100,000th orbit of Earth on the morning of August 11 in its 18th year of exploration and discovery. Named after the trailblazing astronomer Edwin P. Hubble (1889-1953), the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) is a large, space-based observatory which has revolutionized astronomy by providing unprecedented deep and clear views of the Universe, ranging from our own solar system to extremely remote fledgling galaxies forming not long after the Big Bang 13.7 billion years ago.

Beijing Olympics 2008 – Lego Style

This folowing model is of the Olympic village made entirely out of LEGO. It was recently on display in Hong Kong to get everyone excited about the games and contains over 300,000 blocks and 4,500 minifigs. Looks totally Beautiful 🙂

NFS Undercover: New Info Unveiled, Cops and Highways are back!

Some great news for all the NFS Fans out there, EA sports has unveiled some new information regarding the upcoming title, NFS Underground, in a pressconference recently. Here is the breakdown of the conference and all the points revealed about the highly awaited game.

  • Need for Speed Undercover features a deep and engaging story of spectacular Hollywood-style live-action that will transport players into the fictional world of the Tri-City Bay Area
  • Which means that the there wud be three cities, linked by highways, and loads of High Speed Races.
  • Maggie Q, who has starred in Mission Impossible III and Live Free or Die Hard, plays Federal Agent Chase Linh, a seductive handler who recruits and guides players as they go undercover.
  • Players will take on dangerous jobs and compete in races in order to infiltrate and takedown a ruthless international crime syndicate.
  • Need for Speed Undercover is being developed by Black Box in Vancouver, B.C.
  • Sated to be in stores North America on November 18 and in Europe on November 21.
  • The game will be available for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, and Wii™ as well as the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Nintendo DS™, PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) handheld entertainment system, PC and mobile.

BSOD strikes Beijing Olympics Opening

If you are a windows user, then Obviously you have encountered the BSOD, or the Blue Screen of Death. The Beijing Olympics are all the rage this time around, and the opening Ceremony was worth watching, as it was a splendid showcase of Technologies and Synchronized Artwork of the performers. But a few keen attendees captured a totally unforgettable moment at theOpening Ceremony, where the BSOD was being projected on the Roof of the Stadium!

Water on Mars: Now a reality, NASA Confirms findings.

NASA has confirmed that the Phoenix Mars Lander has identified water on Mars, while heating samples of soil it found in a trench. This is the first real instance of confirmed water samples on mars, and thus pave the way for finding positive signs of life on Mars, because water is a requirement for life as we know it. Heating of samples and resulting vapor led scientists to conclude that the rover had identified water for the first time.
