A while back I saw on the Sims website, that the release date for the

um, you guys, i just looked at the amazon website and it did say that the release will be on the 30th of April 2009. i’m just one of the really excited people who’s a big fan of this. one comment though on this game, um, is it me or even though they change the color of the sim’s skin and hair, the facial features still look exactly the same although some have reduced the size of the eyes….but the lips and the face shape is exactly the same….hmmmm…..but i can’t wait to play it as it won’t be as boring anymore….no more loading in every neighborhood. isn’t that great?! haha!

I see what your saying about the facial features and all that Robine but really if you look at the sims 2 default faces without any of the custom content we get from the internet there is a big difference from that to the sims 3. if u think about it all major retailers usually ship their entertainment stuff (i.e., movies, video games, electronics) on a Tuesday so the only dates that really make any sense to me are March 31, 2009 and/or April 7, 2009….so I can pretty much guarantee that it will ship then. August 20, 2008 – Many PC gamers have been eagerly awaiting The Sims 3, the upcoming title from Maxis and Electronic Arts. For a while now, it’s been known that the game would be released in the first quarter of 2009, but no specifics were known outside of that. At the German Games Convention in Leipzig, EA announced at their press conference that the game will ship on February 20 of next year. What’s more, the title will also be available as a digital download on the same day that it is released to retail.

I was SO excited when I learnt that The Sims 3 comes out 20th Feb 2009. I decided to see if I could gather any more information as the game is supposed to be out 2 weeks today. Unfourtunately the game has been suspended until June 5th 2009.

I did somme research on the internet and i found out that the sims 3 will be released on the 20th of february 2009

Hey Danny I guess you are the idiot, huh? The realese date is june… What happend the sims 3 didn’t come out in fabruary?
I just returned from my friendly neighvborhood hastings store and their computer data base put the release date at june 3 2009
Looks like the release date is going to be June 2nd. It was originally supposed to come out in February but they pushed the date back for whatever reason.
Oh, and Danni, if the game was released in February, then why does the Sims website still show you can PREORDER the game. Common sense, duh. And the game is certainly not free so I hope you are enjoying your stolen game. Thief.

Wow, I have read this whole complete post and everyone has been given dates and no one really knows when this game will be released. businesses are clever in that they tell us a certain date but they really dont know. what they are simply doing is giving out different dates to keep Sims fans intersted so they say this date or that date so you will get so hyped up it will tempt you to pre-order from them. That’s what its all about, people. Just be patient and the day Sims 3 comes out will be the day. We won’t know til it is actually out.
And I would highly suggest that you shop around for the cheapest prices out there(for brand new of course) because i am noticing that there are a lot of pre-order prices that are ridiculously high one charging as much as $69.95 for it. That’s just pure greed and so sad. I love Sims but no way would I ever pay that much for any game brand new.
So just be a little more patient because we all know the game will come out eventually. Hopefully it will be sometime in 2009. 🙂

The release date is the 2nd of June 2009. And not the date you’ve put down. I am a fan of the sims too but have my facts straight.
haha, i qot SO excited when they said it was out march sumthinq but as u quysz prob now no it is NOT availble in march. its June 2, 2009 in North America, and June 5, 2009 in Europe and Australia. Hope i helpd, oh and thats the real date 😀
